Apple IPad

While i was just browsing the internet and checking my emails... i was fascinated with the new product that was launched by Apple! take a look....

Its just amazing how the technology keeps improving and keeps getting better and better.... this IPad by Apple costs only USD499! I am not trying to promote this but its really a cool device and i think later in the future.... laptops and notebooks are going to be obsolete! even my Tablet PC is going obsolete! I am just thinking... is there anything that Apple cannot do?

FE and Gospel of Mark

My Field education training started last week on Saturday. Went to get my lunch in Blossom in Seremban because i found out there is a HamCha stall in the restaurant. Ordered the hamcha and tried... it was good... similar taste that i have tasted in Johor Bahru. But JB's one taste nicer :P....

The HamCha in Seremban! very healthy food.. going to eat it again when i got the time!

I drove down to PD for my field ed. together with another senior with his family, they came from China, FuQian province. They are going to the Presbyterian Church in PD. It took me sometime to locate the Methodist church in PD. The map that was drawn for me was not exactly the same as the road! but in the end i found the church. thanks to my highly tuned sense of direction!

Port Dickson Chinese Methodist Church

Took the picture in the evening with the cross as the background while waiting for dinner with the Pastor in charge.

The last time i went to PDCMC was a long time ago. Pastor brought me there just for visitation, if i remember correctly we were journeying back to Subang using the coastal road instead of using the highway! there was a nice beach just opposite the church. However, when i went there last week, the government had build a jetty there for passengers to travel to Indonesia. What a waste.... My ministry in PDCMC are to help with the youth fellowship which only consists of 7 people! and in the worship team...

Today the class of Mark started and Dr. Lim gave us an introduction and also course requirement! not an easy class to take but its my core subject so i have got no choice :s.... there are about 20 students that are taking the class and the conference room was packed with people. There is an exergesis paper that i need to do for the Gospel according to Mark! hopefully i can choose the right text for me to work on! :p

The new semester in STM!

The new semester in STM started off with the yearly annual retreat on the week end to usher in new students who are studying in the Seminary! Got to know some of the new students this year and most of them are in the English Department thus this year we have a balance in both English and Chinese Departments... Bishop Dr. Robert Solomon was invited as the speaker for the retreat and he spoke on the topic of the Lord's Prayer which was divided into 10 session in 4 talk in 2 days!

A book that was written by Bishop Solomon

Most churches in this era have lost the rich tradition of the early church to recite the Lord's prayer in their church worship. There are also Christians and members of the church that do not know how to recite the Lord's prayer too... From Bishop's teaching in this pass 2 days he expounded on the Lord's Prayer and gave me a new insight on the way Jesus taught his disciple this prayer and I believe this prayer is also for us too...

Here are the break up of the 10 sessions that was taught by Bishop Solomon:

Session 1: Introduction
Session 2: Our father
Session 3: In Heaven
Session 4: The name of God
Session 5: Thy Kingdom come
Session 6: Thy will be done
Session 7: Daily Bread
Session 8: Our Sins
session 9: Lead us not
Session 1o: Deliver us from Evil

Let us not forget the prayer that our Lord taught us!
