2nd Church Visitation

Today was the Field Education's second church visit. I went together with the rest of the first year students to St. Paul Anglican Church in PJ! i was so close to home! haha...

It was an eye opener as I worshiped today in the Anglican Church. There are some symbolical sacrament and ritual that is different from the Methodist Church. There was a small stool placed below each pew! its not for resting your leg but for members to kneel and pray. Each member kneel down to confess their sin before the worship begins...

as the worship start, a hymn was sung as the clergy walk before the cross bearer for the procession into the church. Kinda like a Roman Catholic procession but without bells and incense.

The liturgy were not printed on the bulletin but they follow mostly from this service book. I could not really follow the liturgy in the worship today. Some of the response as we read the holy communion was sung rather than just residing it from the service book. They have wine as the sacrament rather than using grape juice! haha... i did not drink from the cup.. i just dip the bread (waffle) into the wine and partake it.

As usual, after service we had a time of Q&A with the Pastor in charge, in Anglican its call a Vicar kinda big name rite? his name is Venerable Eddie Ong, in short Ven. Eddie Ong! After the Q&A session, the lunch was provided by the church. I had a really good meal as well...

Some of us took a group picture together in fron of the chruch.
